50 Cent Got $75 Million From Hulu For His Own 3-Part Documentary Series

50 Cent is once again showing the game how it's done. After years of producing explosive docs and series about everyone else, Fif is finally stepping into the spotlight for his own story, and Hulu just paid big to make it happen.

50 Cent took to social media and dropped what looked like a troll: Hulu had won a heated bidding war against Starz, Netflix, and Apple for a documentary about his life, reportedly shelling out $75 million. Most fans laughed it off as classic 50 Cent trolling… until it turned out to be very real.

According to reports from Deadline and others, Hulu has officially greenlit an untitled three-part documentary series that will chronicle 50 Cent's full journey, from the gritty streets of South Jamaica, Queens, to surviving nine gunshot wounds in 2000, exploding onto the scene with the classic Get Rich or Die Tryin' in 2003, and building one of the most powerful media empires in hip-hop history.

This isn't just another rap doc. The project is being positioned as the definitive look at how 50 turned pain into power. Expect deep dives into:

  • His early hustling days in Queens
  • The infamous shooting that nearly ended his life
  • The massive success of Get Rich or Die Tryin', "In Da Club," and G-Unit
  • His evolution into a TV and film mogul with G-Unit Film & Television
  • The business moves that kept him winning long after the peak of his rap career\
50 Cent will executive produce alongside his own banner, with direction from Mandon Lovett and production support from The Intellectual Property Corporation. Patrick Altema is on board as showrunner.
