Rick Ross Delays 'Set In Stone' Album To July 17, 2026

Rick Ross has officially moved the release date of his long-awaited new album Set In Stone from June 12 to July 17, 2026. The change was quietly reflected across major platforms like Apple Music, where the pre-save link now lists the project dropping on the new date with 19 tracks.

The delay comes just days before the original release window and follows Ross' announcement of the album earlier this year. While no official statement has been released explaining the pushback, fans noticed the updated date on streaming services earlier this week. Some observers have pointed out that July 17 also lines up with a rumored DJ Khaled project, though nothing has been confirmed on that front.

Why the Delay?

No official reason has been given. In hip-hop, these last-minute shifts are common and often come down to final mixing, sample clearances, or strategic rollout decisions. With Ross currently on tour and celebrating two decades since his debut album, the extra month could allow him to finish the project at his own pace while maintaining momentum.

Some fans speculate that Ross did not want to be outsold by Drake's 'ICEMAN' album in its 4th week. The two artists have been trading shots at each other for a little over a year.

Rick Ross has built a legacy on luxurious bars, elite production, and boss-level consistency. Set In Stone has the potential to be a major moment, especially with the Verzuz energy still fresh from his recent battle with French Montana and the star power already attached.
