Rod Wave’s Don’t Look Down Debuts at No. 1 With 100K First-Week Units

 

Rod Wave’s Don’t Look Down opened at No. 1 on the charts. The 24-track album, released August 28 via Alamo/Sony, posted 100,176 total units in its first tracking week.

That total broke down as 9,539 pure album sales, 119 track-equivalent albums, and 90,517 streaming-equivalent albums. Streaming drove the bulk of the debut, which is consistent with how Rod Wave’s catalog has performed since SoulFly.

Early projections had put the album in the 115,000–125,000 range. The final Hits figure landed a bit under those forecasts but was still enough to take the top spot over Alex Warren’s Wildchild (75,317 units) and Olivia Rodrigo’s latest (67,486).

The new album is a mostly solo set with features from Summer Joy, Luv Von, Hazlett, and Aimee Carty. Tracks like “Feed the Streets,” “Piece of Your Love,” and “Hustle” were among the early streaming standouts.
