One Of Kendrick Lamar Early Projects Is Officially Platinum

 

The day one Kendrick Lamar fans will rejoice to find out that what is considered a cult classic is not certified platinum. Good Kid, M.A.A.D City was not Kendrick's debut album; in fact, it was a project titled "Section.80".

According to the RIAA, Kendrick Lamar's first album, "Section.80" is recognized as certified platinum.

After the first week, "Section.80" was released, and the album only sold 5,000 copies, debuting at #113 on the Billboard 200. The project was promoted very little, and Kendrick did not have the star power he has now.
