Future Scores Another No.1 Album

 

Future has done it again.

The Atlanta trap icon’s tenth studio album, The Real Me, opened at No. 1 on the latest HITS Top 50 chart with 131,367 equivalent album units. The Freebandz/Epic project easily outpaced the competition, with Olivia Rodrigo’s You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love landing at No. 2 with 96,550 units.

The album, released July 10, marks Future’s 12th consecutive No. 1 project. Every solo studio album and both of his 2024 collaborative albums with Metro Boomin (We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You) have now topped the chart. That perfect 12-for-12 run places Future fifth all-time among artists with the most No. 1 albums, behind only The Beatles, Taylor Swift, Drake, and Jay-Z.

According to the numbers reported via HITS, The Real Me earned 14,249 pure album sales, 116,819 streaming-equivalent albums, and 299 track-equivalent albums in its first week. The overwhelming majority of the total came from streams, consistent with Future’s long-running dominance in the streaming era.

The Real Me is Future’s first proper solo studio album since 2022’s I Never Liked You and his first full-length solo release since Mixtape Pluto in 2024. The 22-track project notably features zero guest appearances, a rare move for an artist known for stacking high-profile collabs. Production credits include Southside, Wheezy, ATL Jacob, TM88, Pharrell Williams, and others.
