A$AP Rocky Flips the Script on a SWAT Raid in the "SWAT TEAM" Video, and Disc 2 Is Close

A$AP Rocky is not slowing down. While fans wait for the second disc of Don't Be Dumb, he's feeding the rollout with a steady drip of visuals, and the newest one is a big, cinematic action piece. The "SWAT TEAM" video turns a police raid into a power move, and it's worth a watch before Disc 2 lands.

The Video

Complex reports that Rocky launched the "SWAT TEAM" video on Wednesday, Oct. 21. The song is a bonus cut from Don't Be Dumb, and, as Complex notes, it should look familiar to anyone who caught him at a recent tour stop.

The clip runs on a simple, loud idea. According to Attack The Culture, which quotes the official release, the video follows an unfazed Rocky as he's pursued by a SWAT team. Then the tables turn: Rocky and his friends overpower the SWAT team and take control. Complex adds that the AWGE insignia is front and center, and a TV in the video shows a news broadcast focused on Rocky being "hit by SWAT 24/7."

Who Made It

Rocky is credited as a co-director, joined by Arnaud Deroudilhe. Complex says the cinematography is by Angelo Marques, and Attack The Culture credits Frenzy Paris as the production company.

It's the same approach he took with "SHROOM CLOUDS." Complex notes that Rocky was also a co-director on that video, which landed days earlier.

The Run of Singles and Visuals

This is part of a busy stretch. Attack The Culture says Rocky shared the single "SHROOM CLOUDS," featuring Reggie and Jeremih, on a Friday, and the video for it followed on Monday. Then came "SWAT TEAM" on Wednesday. That's three drops in about a week, with Disc 2 still on deck.

What Rocky Said About Disc 2

Complex says Rocky explained the plan in an earlier interview with Antonio Johri. Disc 2 takes a compilation-style approach, so tracks that were once standalone singles, like "Babushka Boi" and "Sundress," will get a proper home on it.

"It's all going to live on Disc 2 with new revisions to it, new verses, and a couple of new singles that people probably never heard," Rocky said. Complex also says "Trunks," a song from Spike Lee's Highest 2 Lowest, is set to land on the second disc. Rocky co-starred in the 2025 film with Denzel Washington, per Complex.

We don't have a release date for Disc 2. Complex calls it "expected soon," and that's as specific as anyone has been in the sources we checked.

The Album Behind It

Don't Be Dumb arrived in January and, per Complex, topped the Billboard 200. Attack The Culture's release language says it came with a #1 Billboard debut and over 1 million pre-saves on Spotify, and that the cover art was created by filmmaker and illustrator Tim Burton in collaboration with Rocky. The listed guests are BossMan Dlow, Brent Faiyaz, Danny Elfman, Doechii, Gorillaz, Jessica Pratt, Jon Batiste, Slay Squad, Thundercat, Tyler, The Creator, Westside Gunn and will.i.am.

Still On the Road

Rocky isn't done touring either. Attack The Culture says he recently wrapped a sold-out, 25-date European and UK run through 19 countries, and that the release credits him as the first rap artist to play eight arena shows in Central and Eastern Europe. Those are claims from the official press language, so take the "first" with that in mind.

Next up is Australia and New Zealand, his first return to the region in eight years, according to Attack The Culture. The dates run from Saturday, Dec. 5 in Melbourne through Thursday, Dec. 17 in Perth, with stops in Sydney, Auckland and Brisbane along the way.

Why Watch It

If you like your rap videos with real production value, this one delivers. It's built on a movie-style premise, it's tied to a bigger rollout, and it gives the "SWAT TEAM" record a story. Whether you're a longtime A$AP fan or just want to see what the hype is about, it's a quick watch. And with a tour headed to Australia and New Zealand in December and Disc 2 still unannounced, Rocky is clearly keeping his name in the conversation. Pay attention to the visual details too: the AWGE insignia and the fake newscast are small touches that tie the clip back to the world of the album.

Tell us in the comments: is "SWAT TEAM" a top-tier Rocky visual, and what do you want to hear first on Disc 2?
