Jack Harlow New Album Sold Under 20K
Jack Harlow's new album, Monica, is on track for the lowest commercial opening of his career. According to the latest tracking from industry leader HitsDailyDouble.com, the project moved just 19,217 album-equivalent units in its first week. The album debuts at No. 36 on the Billboard 200.
Monica marks a dramatic stylistic departure for the 28-year-old artist. Instead of his usual witty, boastful rap flows, Harlow fully embraces R&B and neo-soul, singing throughout the nine-track project. Recorded at the legendary Electric Lady Studios in New York, the album draws inspiration from classic soul artists and notably contains zero rapping.
In today's streaming-dominated landscape, even established stars can see sharp drops when they experiment. Harlow has always positioned himself as more than just a hit-maker, but Monica tests whether fans will follow him into new sonic territory.
One of my favorite songs off the album is "Living Alone", check out the song below.
